The clothes displayed include casual clothes, work clothes and party clothes combined with ethnic nuances such as typical South Kalimantan batik or ‘Sasirangan’,
The head of SMKN 2 Amuntai, Herry Fitriyadi in Amuntai, Tuesday said that the owner of the business where the PKL was located was an alumni of SMKN 2 Amuntai so it was hoped that he would motivate students to study harder.
“Through fashion shows, students are motivated to be more innovative and creative in fashion, especially since they have witnessed the success of alumni of SMKN 2 Amuntai where they have been street vendors,” said Herry.

Herry said that the fashion show activity was also witnessed by SMKN 2 Amuntai’s work partners, business and industry owners where the students carried out street vendors, some of whom were alumni of SMKN 2 Amuntai.
He was grateful that the school was able to carry out this activity again after a two year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, where class XII fashion design students were also enthusiastic about taking part in the activity.
The head of the fashion expertise competency at SMKN 2 Amuntai, Elistianawati in Amuntai, Tuesday, said that this fashion show featured hundreds of design works from 72 class
“We will appreciate the best work and later if there is a fashion show we will show it again as a concept of choice, apart from that as a promotion for other children,” he said.
Apart from that, he said, the students’ best works will also be offered to the general public via social media.
